Web Part Installation
Before installing any of the UC Logic PLC Web Parts you will need to configure your SharePoint Server to support the technologies used by the web parts. All the underlying technologies are core Microsoft technologies but are not implemented in the standard SharePoint implementation. If you do not have the required expertese in-house to implement these changes, UC Logic offer an installation service which includes all the SharePoint upgrades.PLC Documents Web Part Installation
Before installing the Web Part you will need to upgrade to .NET 3.5 and implement Ajax and Linq for SharePoint.
UC Logic Web Parts are Site features and therefore must be deployed on each host server separately. Also each server must be running the Microsoft SharePoint Services Administration Service before using the deployment application. This is not running by default and must be started using the Windows Services Manager.
To deploy the web part, run the Setup.exe included with the installation package and follow the on-screen instructions. If your deployment is more complex than the setup application can cope with, use the manual deployment method. Once the web part has been deployed, it can be added to any web part page in the usual way. For details on how to configure the web part, visit the PLC Document Web Part Administration guide.
