PLC Documents Administration Guide
The
PLC Documents Web Part provides a view of PLC resources within
SharePoint 2007. Administrators can set the view by
filtering on service, practice area, jurisdiction and resource
type. Administrators can also set each of these columns to
be displayed or hidden.

The PLC Documents Web Part can only be edited in Shared Mode by an administrator. To add the web part to a web part page, click on Site Actions, Select Edit Page and choose the PLCDocuments web part. Click on the edit label and select Modify Shared Web Part and the settings box shown here will appear. Before configuring the web part you will need to download the 4 lookup lists. Click the Download Lists check box and click OK. Due to the way SharePoint caches, you need to visit another page and then return to the same page and go back to the modify screen which will now have the lists populated. Set the columns you wish to appear and filters, click OK and again re-visit the page. The results are cached as part of the page and will load quickly after the first visit. Over night the cache will clear and the first visit of the day will re-load the data from PLC.
